A/N: Booth/Brennan are the sappy song in my heart, they're the ship that makes me believe in love in small places. In a diner, in the workplace. Basically, they make me believe that love, no matter how complicated, can occur in the most mundane little corners of our lives. It can creep up on us, change us in ways we never wanted to. But in the end, you realize that love is the only thing that can save you, that can make you happy. Booth/Brennan are one of my top ships because they truly express what it means to struggle in their love for one another, whether you are Brennan and struggle with the concept of love entirely, or you are Booth and you struggle with that love being seemingly unrequited. Their resistance to love is selfless; they set aside their love for the sake of professionalism because the work they do, giving identities to faceless individuals, is so important to them and to their larger purposes. And what's beautiful about their relationship is watching them slowly relent to their emotions, slowly giving in to the forces that are pushing them together. And ultimately, we just want to see them together because it'll mark the moment that these two finally did something that was for themselves.

The tragedies she faces along her path are truly a thing to be witnessed, from the destruction of her health to the losses of people she loves. And all the while, the things she holds dear are constantly challenged; her convictions in a scientific universe, her fragile faith in an almighty. But yet, she keeps with the journey in an unending love for her partner, Fox Mulder, proving that Scully, ultimately, just needs to believe that life has meaning, that her actions are not wasted, that her faith in the idea of happiness will one day, be rewarded.
